Family-friendly adventures abound in Amish Country!
Everybody is counting the days until time off and time together. How will you share those precious and free minutes with your loved ones? Family vacation is an opportunity for parents and children to explore the area and their bonds together. Your kids may not remember their third day in fifth grade math, but they will definitely flashback to feeding a giraffe from the back of a horse-drawn wagon. We’ve got an abundance of activities that will make the whole family happy. Come create some memories
Take in the old-fashioned farming experience when you visit the working farm and animal park at The Farm at Walnut Creek. Hand-feed over 600 domestic and exotic animals on the horse-drawn wagon ride or drive-through tour, including giraffes. The Farm features a non-electric Amish farmhouse for visitors to tour at their own pace and can observe baking, canning, and sewing demonstrations.
Cabin Creek Golf offers one of the most unique, entertaining, and challenging 36-hole miniature golf courses. You’ll face water hazards, a geyser, and bridges, among other awesome obstacles. The center also offers a driving range, sand volleyball, and batting cages.
Enjoy a sandwich, salad, and ice cream at Mudd Valley Cafe and Creamery, located in Walnut Creek Cheese. The Cafe is a full service eatery that offers a wide variety of options for brunch, lunch, dessert, and more! This stop has the added bonus of being located inside of one of the area’s largest bulk food shops. You can eat and browse the bulk goodies! Stock up on snacks, produce, candy, or almost anything else at Walnut Creek Cheese.
Timbercrest Camp and RV Park is surrounded by trees and offers a peaceful spot to camp in the hills just minutes from all the local attractions. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring and wifi. Kids will enjoy the playground areas and nature trails. The park features full hookup pull-thru sites, back-in full hookup sites, and tent sites.
